This book combines embroideries of diagrams with photographs of Greek and Roman sculptures. The focus of the sculptures in question is strictly on fabric and hairstyles carved in stone. On each folio, Frid uses thread to annotate the images with diagrams mostly found in Anni Alber's book “On Weaving”.

Apuntes, a one-of-a-kind artist's book, was made for the exhibit, “Materias: Matter and Subject Matter” which took place at the Biblioteca Francisco de Burgoa in Oaxaca, Mexico in the fall of 2015. The title translates as Notations.
